Blues Chops - Muted Sweeps

The object of the muted sweep or rake is to give some momentum to the note at the end of the sweep. The trick is to land on this target note accurately. The sweep is a hard downstroke across three or more strings that are muted by your right hand; we hear the rhythm of these notes, but not specific pitches.
